SOCCER
The DDHS girls soccer team put the hurt on Westosha Central, 4-1, in Southern Lakes Conference action. Kylie Bliss scored at 22 minutes with an assist from Courtney Flood. At 35 minutes, Amanda McLeron made it 2-0 with an assist from Alex Andres. Two minutes later, Flood scored with an assist from Katie Marse, making it 3-0 at the half. After Westosha Central scores, McLeron tacked on her second goal for the game’s final score. DDHS is 4-1 in SLC play and 7-2 overall.

BASEBALL
The Comets rallied, but couldn’t get by a strong Burlington team, losing 20-8. The Demons went up 10-3 after two innings and DDHS cut it to 10-8 with a five-run burst in the bottom of the third. But that was all the scoring the team could muster in the conference loss. Connor Kolanda collected two hits, including a double. Eric Polzin went three-for-four and Justin Fowlkes had a pair of hits for the 3-8 Comets (1-3 in SLC play).

SOFTBALL
Wilmot blanked DDHS 7-0 as the comets collected only four hits.

TENNIS
It was oh-so-close for the DDHS boys tennis team as it fell 4-3 in a dual vs. Waterford. Tyler Jones, the No. 1 singles player for the Comets picked up a straight-set win, as did Owen Nelson at No. 2. At No. 4 singles, Genki Nakanishi also picked up a two-set victory. The Comets were swept in doubles action, but the No. 3 team of Alwin Roth and Sean Oliver made it close by stretching their match to three sets.
