DELAVAN — Delavan-Darien High School students and performers from the Homegrown Electric Circus comedy troupe in Milwaukee will present a free night of improv laughs at the DDHS Auditorium at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23.

The improv comedy group will host a workshop with DDHS students after school until the time of the performance, teaching them tips and tricks to be funny on the fly, said DDHS Drama Club Advisor Janet Palmer.

The troupe includes two DDHS alumni, Jazmin Vollmar and Evan Koepnick, who helped start the six-member comedy team.

Koepnick, Vollmar, Scott Heaton, Mike Walker, Josh Barto and Patrick Glap began performing together in January after taking improv classes together. Their recently formed comedy team performs regularly in the Milwaukee area at the Alchemist Theater.

The performance at DDHS will include an improv show by DDHS students, a show by the Homegrown Electric Circus and a combined show, Palmer said. Laughter is a guaranteed part of the night.

The show is free, but donations taken at the door will be split between the DDHS Drama Club and the United Way of Walworth County.

Delavan-Darien High School is located at 150 Cummings St., Delavan.
