The Delavan-Darien Board of Education Meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, includes discussion and follow up from the Aug. 3, 2011, community workshop listening session at Delavan-Darien High School.
An estimated 400 community members came to facilitated Aug. 3 meeting, with many addressing concerns with climate and discipline at DDHS. Other issues were also touched on by parents and citizens in the audience.
Monday’s meeting will allow for discussion on the five areas requested by a citizen, including discipline, staff turnover, out migration of students, academic direction and administration/staff communication.
To help accommodate another potentially large audience, the school board meeting will be held at the Phoenix Middle School auditorium, 414 Beloit St., Delavan.
