Ask either varsity football coach and both will tell you it wasn’t a pretty game to watch.
But despite the Comets’ 21-7 loss to visiting Big Foot, it was a beautiful Friday night for varsity football action and we got some pretty good pictures to share.
The only score for the Comets was junior quarterback Danny Supernaw’s 7-yard scamper midway through the second quarter, cutting the Chief’s 14-0 lead in half.
Big Foot scored again on a run before the break and it was a defensive battle the rest of the way.
The first half was mired in penalties and the teams combined for nine turnovers.
