The months of January and February at Darien Elementary mean students are putting on the miles in the school’s Walking Club.
Over the two months, students, parents, siblings, and grandparents have walked the halls for 25 minutes to start their day.
This was an alternate choice to going outside for recess.
Each day the student walked, they earned a “little foot” charm to add to their necklace. After earning 10 little feet, they could trade them in for a big foot!
Walking Club is a great time students get to spend with their friends and families.
Thank you to all the students, parents and relatives that walked each day and a BIG THANK YOU to everyone at Darien for all your help throughout the last few weeks!
Don’t forget to put your necklace in a safe spot for next year!!
