Delavan Service League donates to Comet Care Center

The Delavan Service League recently had Delavan-Darien High School Business Education Teacher Carrie Schuknecht present to the group last week about the Comet Care Center at DDHS.

The Service League had done a school supply and hygiene item drive for the center, which filled the back of Schuknecht’s SUV with school supplies to take back.

In addition, several members gave her cash donations totaling about $80 for the Care Center to use as needed for gym uniforms, locks, backpacks or other needs that students at the high school may have.

The Comet Care Center exists at the high school to provide high school students who are in need of school supplies, hygiene items, or other items necessary to get through the school year.

Thanks for your generous donations, Delavan Service League! We’re be sure the donated items and money are put to good use!
