Wileman Elementary School partnered with Delavan Lanes to help the hungry this holiday season.

Students at the school collected about 900 items for WSLD radio’s “Freezing for Food” event at Kunes Country Ford recently.

Those 900 non-perishable food items were collected in just five days!

Every student who brought in at least one item was given a free game of bowling at Delavan.

The class that brought the most was Miss Lisa Jones’ third grade class, with 186 items. Each student in her class won two free games of bowling, a free shoe rental, and a free soda.

Way to go, Wileman students! We’re proud of you all for helping those in need!
