Comet swimmers 6th at Fort Relays, win dual

Swimming logo iconThe Delavan-Darien Boys teams finished 6th Saturday at the Fort Atkinson Connor Bourke Relays and won its first dual meet of the swim season on Tuesday at Jefferson-Cambridge.

The Connor Bourke Relays in Fort Atkinson is a Charity relay event consisting of several traditional and diverse relays. The Comets best finish of the day was a 2nd place finish in the Frosh/Sophomore 4 x 250 Crescendo Relay with Swimmers Justin Brown, Nathan Radtke, Chance Castel and Dallas Fritzinger. The Comets also had 5th place finishes in the Frosh/Sophomore 4 x 200 Medley Relay of Chance Castel, Radtke, Fritzinger, Brown and a 5th place finish in the 3 x 300 yard Backstroke relay consisting of Nico Bahaveolos, Chance Castel and Nic Bradley.

On Tuesday the Comets dominated the pool with a 104 to 52 victory over Jefferson-Cambridge. First place finishes by Nic Bradley 200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, Kane Castel 200 Individual Medley, 100 Yard Butterfly, Dallas Fritzinger 50 Yard Freestyle, Zach Larson 100 Yard Freestyle, Chance Castel 100 Yard Backstroke, Nathan Radtke 100 Yard Breaststroke and 200 Medley Relay (Chance Castel, Radtke, Kane Castel, Fritzinger) 200 Freestyle Relay (Fritzinger, Chance Castel, Radtke, Kane Castel) 400 Freestyle Relay (Chance Castel, Bradley, Radtke, Fritzinger).

The Comets also had 2nd place finishes by Nico Bahaveolos in the 200 IM and 100 Yard Backstroke, Justin Brown 100 Yard Freestyle. 200 Yard B Relay also finished 2nd (Bahaveolos, Larson, Brown, Bradley)

The Comets travel to Whitewater next Tuesday for a dual meet against the Whippets.
