The research results are in.

Class of 2013 graduate Hayley Severson is one of 24 Delavan-Darien High School alumni to be named a National Merit Scholarship finalist. She is one of eight DDHS alumni to also receive a National Merit Scholarship and be named a National Merit Scholar. And, she is the first alumni to receive the scholar honor since 1995 (there were three finalists between then).

After her nomination and subsequent receiving of a National Merit Scholarship, we asked the folks at the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to dig into their archives and see who else from DDHS had won a scholarship or was named a finalist in the country-wide competition. The company looked from 1956 to present.
