Iowa City, Iowa – Emily McClellan, a DDHS Class of 2010 graduate, posted the second-fastest time in all of college swimming to again steal the headlines with an outstanding day in the pool to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee swimming & diving teams in day two at the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Saturday.

McClellan started the day by resetting her own school and league record in the 100 breaststroke with an outstanding time of 59.06 for first place. That time was also an NCAA A-cut, automatically qualifying her for the NCAA Championship Meet held this year in Minneapolis March 20-22.

The senior standout then reset those records a few hours later by finishing first in the final with an amazing time of 58.76, the second-fastest time in college swimming this season. That time is also a meet and pool record.

McClellan also took fifth with her teammates in the 800 free relay with an impressive time of 7:27.35, just shy of a school record.
