Community members are welcome to learn traditional Mexican dances at DDHS in classes being taught by Dance Academy of Mexico (Milwaukee) this winter.

The classes will be held at Delavan-Darien High School for two Saturdays each month, beginning January 11, 2014. The cost for each class is $5, and sessions run about 90 minutes.

Organizers say the classes will help students learn self-presentation, gain self esteem and confidence, responsibility and cross-cultural competence. It’s also a great way to exercise, promote the arts, have fun and meet new friends.

For more information or to register, contact event organizer Berenice Solis at 262-374-3678.
