The Delavan-Darien School District is hosting its final informational meeting on its new Dual Language Immersion Program.
The meeting is at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21th, in the Phoenix Middle School Library. Sessions in English and Spanish will be available at the same time in separate rooms. Child care will be provided.
This is the last of three similar informational meetings for parents interested in the program.
The Dual Language program will be a part of the district’s offerings next school year (2014-15) and will open to students who will be in 4-year-old kindergarten, 5-year-old kindergarten and possibly first grade in September.
Come to the meeting to learn about the benefits of students being taught in a bilingual and bicultural environment, and the benefits of students becoming fluent in another language.
We hope to see you there so you can learn about this tremendous and successful program we’re excited to bring to all our students next school year.
