Winning has been tough to come by for the DDHS girls basketball team this year, but there is one highlight to point out.

On Friday, senior Kylie Collins tied a school record for free throws made in a game. She was a perfect 15 of 15 from the charity stripe in a 79-54 loss at Wilmot Union High School. She led all scorers with 23 points in the loss.

Collins’ effort from the line tied that of 2010 graduate Alana Cesarz, who is now starring on the collegiate basketball courts as member of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas squad.

The Comets did win their game against Big Foot 60-43 on Saturday, Jan. 25. The team is 2-10 overall.
