Friday, February 21 is school make-up day

SCHOOL MAKE-UP DAY: Students are to report to school on Friday, February 21, for a make-up day following our five snow/cold days from earlier this year.

This will be a regular full day of school and students are expected to attend as normal.

Parent/teacher conference that were scheduled for Friday are now canceled, but they will will still be held Thursday afternoon/evening (4-8 p.m., Feb. 20) and by appointment with a child’s teacher. Friday, February 21, had been an unscheduled school day due to parent/teacher conferences.

The day will now operate as any other normal school day. Additionally, since it will be a regular school day, Turtle Creek Elementary will hold its Community Learning Center program after school that day. The CLC program will not be in operation on Thursday afternoon due to parent/teacher conferences.

So far, this is the only make-up day needed for the days missed due to weather. If school is cancelled again for any reason between now and the end of the school year, a second make-up day will be necessary on Monday, April 21, which currently is an unscheduled day.
