FRESHMAN WELCOME NIGHT: If you’re an eighth grader in the Delavan-Darien area, you won’t want to miss this!
Freshman Welcome Night for DDHS is set for 6 p.m. this Tuesday, February 18.
Here’s what’s happening:
- The evening will begin at 6 p.m. for all students and parents with an opening session in the Auditorium. The presentation will include an overview of graduation requirements, four-year planning tools, and a quick snapshot of the opportunities available at Delavan-Darien High School. A similar session will also be available in Spanish.
- For first-time D-DHS parents and students, or those who would like more information, tours will be provided as well as exhibits that tell more about academics and extra-curricular opportunities available at D-DHS.
- Teachers and counselors will be available to meet individually with families and discuss course selections for next year. This is an opportunity to have your questions answered in detail.
- Students will be able to enter their course requests online, assisted by the D-DHS Comet Mentors. A small gift for students as members of the D-DHS Class of 2018 will be offered at the close of the evening.
No need to RSVP. Just show up, be prepared to learn a lot about DDHS and get fired up for an awesome 2014-15 school year!
