Students in Mike Fellin’s Woods classes helped swimmers from Delavan-Darien High School and other schools from throughout the Southern Lakes Conference reach new heights recently.

That’s because the students and Fellin created a new medals podium for the school.

It was used for the first time at the recent Southern Lakes Conference tournament hosted by DDHS.

“The coaches and athletes loved the podium and many, many, individual and team pictures were taken using it,” Athletics Director Craig Lodahl said.

The podium has spots for the top five finishers and will be used for boys and girls swimming meets during medals awards ceremonies.

The DDHS students who built the new medals podium test it out before the SLC meet hosted by DDHS.
