Graciela Jaramillo, daughter of Maria and Manuel Jaramillo, and Brody Brown, son of Cindy Brown and Arlyn Brown, have been selected as the Delavan Rotary Club students for the month of January.
Graciela participates in volleyball, soccer and tennis. She is also involved in the Foreign Language Club, MOST and the graduation committee. Graciela is a member of the National Honor Society. Graciela volunteers at volleyball camp, the animal shelter, the elementary craft fair, and at her church. After high school Graciela plans to attend UW-Madison to pursue a degree in International Business and Relations and French.
Brody participates in the academic bowl, ski club, the back stage crew and FIRST robotic club. He has volunteered as a 4-H member for nine years working in several areas such as House of Pork and the Pork Schoppe, highway clean-up, Kids College, Brat Hut, Fontana Lions Club Lobster Boil and fundraisers. After high school, Brody plans to attend the Milwaukee School of Engineering and major in software engineering and minor in computer or mechanical engineering.
As recipients of this award, Graciela and Brody were escorted by an administrator at D-DHS to the Rotary Club luncheon at Lake Lawn Lodge on January 27, 2014.
