In our schools, it’s never too early to have students start thinking about their futures.

At Turtle Creek Elementary School, fourth-grade students got to hear about a variety of career pathways — from painting to police work — directly from the people working in those fields.

Volunteers came to speak to the four sections of students on Friday, February 28, which was also a “Dress For Success Day” at the school.

On Dress for Success days, many students wear their most professional-looking attire, and many staff members do the same. When you look your best, you learn the best. And when you’re hearing about a number of different careers, including such job choices as engineering, computer software designing, police officer, teacher, coach, artists, business owner, nurse practitioner and others, big dreams can happen.
