DELAVAN — The Delavan-Darien School District is hosting an open house at Delavan-Darien High School from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, May 29. Visitors can tour the revitalized Technical Education Department, which has been updated recently through partnerships with area businesses and community partners.

A community group that is supportive of the school district has been working with school staff to improve the department. Updates have been made to the school’s technology education computer labs, woods and metals shops, Project Lead The Way classrooms and more.

Students will show and raffle off examples of their work. They will also answer visitors’ questions and guide the tours.

Area businesses, including SPX, Precision Plus, Micro Precision, Mode Industries, Scot Forge and Gateway Technical College will also be on hand.

This is a free open house. Snacks will be available.
