DDHS yearbook to be remade, reprinted

Delavan-Darien High School students and parents who ordered at 2014 school yearbook will receive a new and revised book later this summer or early fall at no additional charge.

Principal Mark Schmitt wrote a letter to DDHS students and parents (which was included in report card mailings) that said the quality of the already-printed yearbook was less than what is expected of a DDHS publication. There were several printing errors and page omissions that were accepted by the book’s publisher, Schmitt said.

“Realizing that a yearbook provides a memory book of the high school years, it is important that the yearbook be one of quality,” Schmitt wrote, thanking those who ordered the book for their patience and understanding as the school works to correct the issue.

All students who ordered a 2014 yearbook will receive a new book without charge. They should be ready near the beginning of the 2014-15 school year. The school will contact those who ordered a book when they are available for pick-up. New orders for the revised yearbook will not be accepted due to limited printing.

Photos sought

To help fill the pages of the revised yearbook, additional photos from the 2013-14 school year at DDHS are being sought. Anyone can submit photos for possible inclusion to: yearbook@ddschools.org. If possible, please include caption information identifying individuals in the photograph, what’s happening in it and where and when it was taken.
