Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction-endorsed TEAM EDUCATORS are hosting a one-day, comprehensive training seminar for anyone interested in obtaining a Substitute Teacher Permit.
This hands-on training presents a positive, honest and accurate account of what it really means to be a substitute teacher in Wisconsin.
Pertinent topics, including discipline and behavior management techniques, health and safety information, expectations from the classroom teacher, special education concerns and sample emergency lesson plans are presented. Time is also allowed for networking and questions from participants. The application process is also explained.
The $90 seminar is from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 29, at Badger High School in Lake Geneva (220 E. South St.). A minimum 20 participants are needed to hold the class. The course can have a maximum of 40 participants.
