Sherry Petersen and Sandy Mayernick of Team Educators are presenting a one-day, comprehensive training seminar for persons interested in obtaining a Department of Public Instruction Substitute Teacher Permit.
This hands-on training presents a postiive, honest and accurate account of what it really means to be a substitute teacher. Pertinent topics including discipline, classroom management, health and safety, teacher expectations, special education concerns and emergency lesson plans are covered. Also, time is available for networking and questions.
The cost of the program is $90 and will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Mukwonago Area School District Administrative Building, 385 County Road NN East, Mukwonago, WI.
Registration forms are due by February 4. The course is open to the first 40 applicants.
