DDHS Announces February Rotary Students

Katie Jones, daughter of Sarah Jones and Jeff Schroeder, and Marguerite Sirkman, daughter of Pamela and Mark Sirkman has been selected as the Delavan Rotary Club students for the month of February.

Katie participates in varsity club, volleyball, musicals, and prom committee. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Katie volunteers with Special Olympics, the Walworth County Alliance for Children, DD Booster club food booth, the Delavan train show and works with youth volleyball. After high school Katie plans to attend college at the University of Northern Iowa to play volleyball and major in math.

Marguerite participates in student council, yearbook, musicals, band, choir, tennis and is the manager for the track and football teams. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Marguerite volunteers as a day camp counselor, participates in music, youth group, and mission trips at her church, is a Barista at the Java Joint on 8th and plays in the pit orchestra for musicals. After high school Marguerite plans to attend UW-Whitewater to pursue an accounting degree.

As recipients of this award, Katie and Marguerite were escorted by an administrator at DDHS to the Rotary Club luncheon at Lake Lawn Lodge on February 23, 2015.
