DELAVAN — The craftiness of Phoenix Middle School students and staff will benefit Delavan-area food pantries with the schools first-ever Empty Bowls event, scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24.

Visitors to the Phoenix Middle School cafeteria (414 Beloit St., Delavan) then will, for a $5 or larger donation, get a unique, hand-crafted pottery bowl and all-you-can-eat soup provided by area restaurants and businesses. Students and staff have joined forces to make the bowls, which are all microwave and dishwasher safe.
