The Delavan-Darien High School summer orchestra will perform a free show at Delavan’s Phoenix Park Bandshell at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. The orchestra will play a diverse selection of music from G.F Handel and Edvard Grieg to modern musical classics from Andrew Lloyd Weber. Rounding out the program are selections from “Titanic” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
The Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra follows the DDHS performance with a production of “Back to the Wild, Wild West.” The LGSO will feature Aaron Copland’s popular “Hoe-Down,” selections from “Oklahoma,” music from “The Magnificent Seven, “The Wild, Wild West,” and others to harken attendees back to the days of America’s western frontier. Come out for a evening of beautiful and inspiring music!
