What in the World is a FAB LAB? Join Us Thursday, October 15th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the FAB LAB Open House and see for yourself!
The Comet Creations Fab Lab will offer many opportunities to students, businesses and individual community members.
DDHS has one of the only Fab Labs in southeast Wisconsin at the high school level.
Fab Labs were originally designed for communities to use as a prototyping platform for local entrepreneurs. Schools have adopted Fab Labs as a platform for project-based, hands on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education and PLTW (Project Lead The Way) courses. The Fab Lab experience can touch all areas of curriculum and creates a relevancy between academics, college, career, and community.
Come and see what the excitement is about!
Do you have an idea for a product and want to have it developed into a prototype? 3-D printers, laser engravers, vinyl cutters, and many other machines with help with this process.
Students will be demonstrating some of the creative projects that can be accomplished with these machines. Meet our foundation partners that have helped to make this a reality.
This all takes place on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Comet Creations Fab Lab, 150 Cummings St., Delavan. Enter the high school at the main doors and we will direct you to the FAB LAB! Refreshments will be served.
