Wileman Principal Shawn Madden resigns

Dear Wileman and Delavan-Darien School District Students and Families,

Shawn Madden

Shawn Madden

On Monday, Wileman Elementary School Principal Mr. Shawn Madden unexpectedly resigned for personal family reasons. He thanked me for his time here and will send a personal communication to staff, students and parents in the near future. I reluctantly accepted his resignation and support him in this decision.

He regrets the time of year, but he cannot prolong his decision. I wish him well.

We will advertise and search for a replacement as soon as possible.

In the meantime, district central office administrators will provide administrative services for Wileman students, parents and staff. The principal responsibilities will be handled by Mrs. Deborah Erdmann (Director of Instruction) and Mr. Ron Sandoval (Director of Bi-Lingual Education). Both have been elementary principals in their careers. Mrs. Kelly Pickel (Darien Principal), Dr. Sara Helberg (Director of Pupil Services) and myself, Dr. Robert Crist (Superintendent) will also help as needed.

Respectfully,

Robert Crist, Ed.D.
Superintendent
