Special thanks to the many visitors who toured the new Delavan-Darien High School Comet Connections Fab Lab on Oct. 15.
The visitors got to see students demonstrate the school’s new Afinia 3-D printers, a laser engraver, vinyl cutter and other equipment capable of teaching students the concepts used in today’s modern manufacturing facilities.
The goal is to expand the Fab Lab with additional equipment — such as CNC mills and routers — to better prepare students for the plethora of available and technologically advanced jobs.
The students will also be able to help community members use the Fab Lab equipment in the coming months.
