Anya Jeninga, daughter of Sara and John Jeninga, and Aatmik Patel, son Raju and Rajshri Patel, have been selected as the Delavan Rotary Club students for the month of November.
Anya currently participates in choir, musicals, plays, forensics, the Thespian Society and is a Comet mentor and has previously participated in volleyball, band and SHOut. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Anya volunteers as a math tutor, she volunteers at her church helping with the nursery, children’s worship and the Good News club as well as participating in a mission trip. Anya also is a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and has joined Big Brothers, Big Sisters. After high school Anya plans to attend a 4-year college and major in pre-med and pursue a career in Psychiatry.
Aatmik participates in cross country, basketball, track, student council and Badger Boys State. He is a member of the National Honor Society. Aatmik volunteers at Mercy Hospital and with the Delavan-Darien Booster club. After high school Aatmik plans to attend a 4-year college and major in chemistry.
As recipients of this award, Anya and Aatmik were escorted by an administrator at DDHS to the Rotary Club luncheon at Lake Lawn Lodge on November 30, 2015.
