Closet Clean-Out for Comet Care Center

Delavan-Darien Elementary Schools are seeking new or gently-used winter coats, snow pants and boots for children in need this winter (through grade 5).

We have more than 65% of students who qualify for the federal free/reduced lunch program and more than 70 district students were identified as homeless at one point or another this school year.

Without proper winter attire, children are not allowed outside for recess, and it can be dangerous for them to be outside on the way to or from school on cold days.

If you have such items, please consider donating to the Delavan-Darien Comet Care Center so they can be used and appreciated by our community’s kids!

What: Winter Coat/Boots/Snow Pants Drive

When: All Winter, During School Hours

Where: Drop-off at our Comet Care Center:
Phoenix Middle School, 414 Beloit St. Delavan.

Why: To help children in need.

How: You drop off the items and we’ll get them to the kids!
