31 area students set to compete in DI Regionals this Saturday

Destination Imagination

A LETTER FROM OUR DESTINATION IMAGINATION COORDINATORS:

Dear Delavan-Darien Families:

We have 31 students representing five Delavan-Darien-area schools who are excited about competing in their upcoming Regional Tournament for Destination Imagination (DI).

They, along with their dedicated coaches, would like to invite you to the competition. The best way to truly “get” DI is to experience a tournament. You will definitely experience some “out-of-the” box thinking which is the result of the creative and critical thinking methods used in DI. All solutions presented for the challenges are the result of the students alone.

Come see what Destination Imagination is all about! More importantly, come see and support the amazing students we have here in Delavan-Darien! We will all appreciate your support!

The competition will be held at Badger High School in Lake Geneva on Saturday, March 19, 2016. The team challenges start at 9 a.m. and we expect the Awards Ceremony to be held around 4 p.m. Attached is the full schedule for Delavan-Darien SD teams. Turtle Creek, Darien, Phoenix Middle School, Our Redeemer and Delavan Christian Schools are represented by these six teams. The top two teams in each challenge and grade level will advance to the State Tournament at UWSP on April 16, 2016.

Here is a list of our student DI members and the Challenge previews to help you gain a better understanding of this program.

Again, thanks for the District’s continued support of DI! We look forward to seeing you at the competition. Please feel free to share with your family and friends. And, do not hesitate to contact us or any of the coaches with questions.
