More news about our just announced Comet Softball All Stars.
Katelyn Gonzalez, daughter of Sharon and Nieves Gonzalez, and Jennah Speth, daughter of Maria and Marty Speth, have been selected as the Delavan Rotary Club students for the month of April.
Katelyn participates in swimming, softball, FFA, FBLA, Varsity club, Comet mentors, and student council as well as the wrestling team manager. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Katelyn volunteers as a 4-H camp counselor, at the Catholic Heart work camp, with the DD Booster Club, the Salvation Army, food and Animal Shelter drives, participates in nursing home visits and is a Walworth County swine representative. Katelyn plans to attend UW La-Crosse and major in secondary education math.
Jennah participates in volleyball, basketball, softball, FFA, student council, Varsity Club, FBLA and Comet mentors. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Jennah volunteers with the Fuzion Fastpitch team, basketball camps, Walworth County Steak Cookout and the DD Booster Club. After high school Jennah plans to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago and major in Kinesiology with an emphasis in movement science and minor in either business or psychology. Jennah will also be continuing her softball career at the Division I level at UIC.
As recipients of this award, Katelyn and Jennah were escorted by an administrator at DDHS to the Rotary Club luncheon at Lake Lawn Lodge on April 25, 2016.
